There were more women at this bash than any others. I'm sure that must have something to do with the more sophisticated behavior.
And in Steve's defense (not that he wants any), but this use of the motel's furniture and accessories in the parking lot in to the late hours of the evening would have been frowned upon more readily than Steve's behavior.

What behavior? I do not remember.

a winery in Altus would like to have us come to their place for a group dinner next time. Ron was talking to a representative of the winery and mentioned our group and it sounded like they would do something kind of special for us if we are interested in that this time.
I'm guessing this is Wiederkehr, but there are a couple of wineries in the area. Their wine not much to write home about, but I've had worse and still enjoyed it. I was thinking of suggesting something like this for breakfast, but then thought: wine--breakfast... nooo. It would probably be a pretty fun thing to do for lunch or dinner tho.
Especially for a group as sophisticated as ours...

I vote for duckdave to be the events coordinator as he is a stone's throw away from Ozark and knows the area.
We definitely had a good time and enjoyed the broadest group of attendees ever, old, new, ladies, guests, 1150 and 1200 R's, 1200GS, K1200LT, K1200R, 650GS, other make (sorry Miss Vickie, didn't see the make) and a Euro 911SC...

Al, that was a V-Star 1100 Custom. You would have had to look close to see a Yamaha or Star logo though. We removed all the obvious ones that interfere with the paint. The only one left is on the Oil Filter cover, and both miss-Vickie and I have a thing about spending money on useless chrome.
She sat on a lowered F800ST (which she really likes) at the Chicago MC show, but the balls of her feat were just touching the ground.

However, she did sit on a new Victory Vegas Low - now that was a nice machine. UH OH!

That would be fine with me, if he wants to do it.
Dave, I don't believe it is Wiederkehr's who made the offer, but I'll let you know when I find out. I'm going to Ozark the first weekend in April, and will be able to talk to Ron and Joan about that offer then.

Rooms reserved!
We will leave for Ozark Thursday morning and arrive that night, and then leave for home Sunday morning.
Looking forward to it

I think it would be a mistake to make me "events coordinator", we have a track record with the able Gypsy. No way would I claim to do better, in fact, I can fairly guarantee dissatisfaction in the ranks. I see my role more as gofer, perhaps consultant, and certainly appreciative participant.

Dave, you are THE local and surely have the knowledge to lead us on the good times! I am riding with Cyclerob, only because I can(for a while).

Mark:
Why are you guys leaving Sunday? Monday is a holiday. Columbus Day!!! What???? Not a automatic day off for everyone? Demand it.

Kristi,
I know you would like us to stay the extra day but...
It's a 9-10 hr ride back, that means we don't get back till 9:00-10:00 at night. Slab riding the whole way makes for a long day too. It's nice to have a day to rest, errr uhhh I mean to spend with Shaun too!

It also allows us an extra day in case we run into weather, breakdowns etc. But that's NOT going to happen! I could take Tuesday off, but Vickie doesn't have that many Vacation days.
Hey, do I need to bring a Peanut Butter relief kit? I tell you what, if we get down to one of the local Orchards before then, I will see if they have Pumpkin Butter, and bring you some - hows that?

No, no peanut butter again. I have an addiction to it, and it would be cruel of you to offer me some when I've been without it now for 3 months 16 days 5 hours. Pumpkin butter sounds less fattening, perhaps less addicting??
I understand the need for a day to re-establish yourself before going back to work. It will be good to be able to see you and Vicki again (on her new Victory?) even if you do have to leave Sunday. Try to keep Steve with you on the trip down this time. Don't let him go off by himself again!

Doh!

I forgot about the addiction, sorry! But we will definitely try for the pumpkin butter!
It was my fault we lost Steve, I took the wrong turn, not Steve! But we will both have Garmins this time! Of course now I don't really need it as that trip is now committed to memory.
...and if she has a Victory this time, even I will be surprised. But you never know

Hey Steve, now we can have "GPS wars" like TonyKBike, TonyT607, and BigJosh in Milwaukee!
