I use either the Brisk LGS design plugs or NGKR racing plugs because of electrode positioning
as I want direct fire of spark (high efficienty), not electrode spark distortion (less efficient)

I'll assume you replace all 4 plugs at the same time?
as most ppl tend to forget the lowers
your lowers should be of this type BKR7EKC-N of electrode configuration

Yesterday i went on a trip with my good ol' dad. He's a good guy, but not what you would call a sportive driver.
We never exeeded the 100 km/hour limit and when i filled my tank today I tanked 10 liters (after 155 km) so that's about 1/15
I guess my driving style is the problem here.
Will try a less agressive style the upcoming week and check my new uh.. milage

@ the persons with the high fuel consumption:

I don't know if it will affect the fuel consumption but how much oil consumption do you have?

I got a lot of oil consumption and will buy the next time 20W50 oil instead of 10W40 ..

Well, after about 4000 Km I added 0.5 l oil today. So that's not much for BMW i think

nope...

I'm adding almost 2,5l on 4000km.. and that's a lot:p

I'm using castrol GPS oil.. I think I'm better of with 20W50

Try BelRay 20W50; in my case, the difference was huge (that means: my (well, my bikes) oil consumption reduced drastically)

I've heard allready of that brand BelRay but I don't know where to get it..

What's the price of it? and is it semi synthetic or mineral like most of the 20W50 oils..

I can get 20W50 mineral for about 22euro's > 4,5L from Duckhams.. (any reviews on this oil?)

I'm trying to do my oil change this weekend.. it's not normal like this and maybe my fuel consumption problem would also be solved.. (lets pray:p)

Well, it seems that the problem has been sorted. When I say sorted, I mean more like the problem isn't mine anymore 'cos some thieving pikey has nicked my bike.

I think my insurance co will now be telling me to bend over and take it dry.

I shall be taking bets on how long it takes to get a payout.

Hope your insurance company is as quick as mine: had my second Rock exactly four weeks after my first was stolen...

My update:

I've changed my oil to 20W50.. but still no luck.. 150km.. (100miles) and green light..

Found a gasleak. Can't see it dripping but there must be a minor leak in my fuel lines i think. Will replace them as soon as i have time to do so.
I think the fuel consumption problem is caused by this leak.

Will update in a few.

I also get 95-105 miles to the tank ... on city-only riding.
Considering the 8 miles-only trip, 16 miles round, constant start-stop, hanging at traffic lights for 1/4 - 1/3 of the time.
And it it does not help if you fancy yourself as drag-racer from traffic lights.

I do not ride often enough out of town, but for sure consumption is better then.

In winter, in-and-around city traffic I usually only get as good as 13.5 km to the liter. My car can do better than that... In summer, on vacations in Dolomites for example, despite a somewhat agressive driving style, I do average around 1:17. I found out that highway driving (at speeds over 120 km/hr) kills your average. Accelerating wide open out of hair pins , driving with a pulling engine running at 5000rpm etc. does burn some fuel, but strangely enough, I've never managed to drive more economically than in the mountains...

On average I am happy with 1:15.

1:15 seems to be quite good :S

I fixed the gas leak and added cleaner for the injectors tru my fuel but still i get 1:15 when cruising.
After a bad week at work (wich tends to change my driving style slightly) i got only 1:14

I'm going for the chip tune soon. See what they can do for me.

Could be one of the primary coils (the central plug caps) have failed - they do that a lot.

Disconnetc the secondary plugs and see if the bike is running on both cylinders (Put an old plug in the secodary cover and touch it to earth to protect the ECU). If its not swap over and check the fault moves.

This is a common fault and uses oodles of gas
