I am currently using Mobil 1 15w 50, but have used Castrol Syntec 5W50 in the past. I will switch back to the Castrol because the bike warms up quicker in the winter, and starts easier.

Nor has anyone mentioned Spectro (http://www.spectro-oils.com/). A long-time BMW mechanic I know likes it, and uses it for his bikes and the bikes he works on.
