Well since they had to order the special tools for it I'm going to assume the shop had never changed one.
I quit worrying about my mechanical things long ago. mechanical things break and wear out. If it breaks I'll fix it.

Since they didn't know you could change them, I also suspect they never did it before. Yeah, and they didn't get the right tools sent to them, so the mechanic ended up cutting it off with a dremel tool. So maybe it took a little longer.
I'm with the bandit, I don't worry about mechanical things...except when they aren't working right. Dripping oil drives me crazy. And spending money sometimes drives me crazy. I especially worry when it slips from my hands not so slowly.
