I have the Ilmberger hugger on my R.. it came from e-bay £30 plus post . as rice says ...bike looks worse with it. Same fiiting as a 1150GS. 2 stainless bolt fitting.
airhawks are a thing to get just right to suit you.
i strap mine on to avoid blow off, and kicking it off a refuelling times.
Loop on the front that fits snug around the nose of the seat. couple of elastic straps at the rear down to the pillion peg 'loops'... secure as required.

Having looked around the web I've decided to opt for the offering from Ztecnik
Not the most esthetically pleasing thing I've seen but should certainly improve long-haul sections of motorway etc. It's not cheap at £178.95!! Has anyone else seen, used, fitted one of these things? Any advice or comments welcome...
That's the same as the OEM screen that I had installed on my Rock when I bought it. I love it (500 mile test ride of a "naked" Rockster made a windscreen a must have for me). It gives good protection from weather, etc to me, and the back of the assorted electronic farkles I've got mounted on my bars.
I do know of another Rockster owner who was nearly crippled (neck/shoulder issues) for 3 days after riding a SS1000 with that screen newly installed. But the "victim" is over 6' tall. Something about where the screen directed the airflow.
I wish a "short" version were available. Say, cut off at the bend/flare near the top. Would be ideal for hot weather riding.

I have one of the ZTechnik screens and I have been thinking of getting a Laminar Lip for it. I am 5'9'' with a short trunk and the wind hits me about forehead level making a lot of noise.
