Any issues with doing the first service at 800 miles?

Mine was at 741, and so far so good. I'm at around 3,000 today.

800 is probably fine.

I wouldn't have a problem with doing it now before you leave, or when you come back..

No, just ride and enjoy her. 200 miles is not even a tank of gas worth of use and the conditions you will "subjecting" her to will be nothing compared to a bike getting broken in while riding 600 miles of stop and go city traffic.

My dealer, Engle Motors in KC, told me as long as I kept it under 1,000 miles for the 600 mile service, it was OK.

I had a great trip riding from Boston up into the twisties of northern VT. Really good variety of roads, speeds, rpms, etc.
What an awesome bike.
I now have about 790 miles on the bike, and she's going in for her first service tomorrow.

I like 5,000 miles as in....10,000 15,000 20,000 25,000


During my break-in I added added about 2,500 before switching to Syn.. a buddy of mine with an 1150R thinks 25,000+/-miles is the right number.


When I had an Italian bike life was easier...we just use Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil.. Ran Great, Smelled Great.
