I reckon it's a good business proposition if I put back into this forum 10% of the money this forum saves me.
At the moment I'm a Double Lifer and, on my original proposal, still in debt to r1150r.org
And I hope I've been able to save others money and angst with my replies to their posts.

Joined a couple of years ago, thanks Doug. With the maintenance and repair tips saving me loads, sold a few farkles to good new homes, the small investment in membership has paid for it's self many times over...

Hmm, I just tested it and it worked fine.. You can just send the payment to my email address and it should work. My email is just Doug @ this site.

Pm me if you have any issues.

Maybe I've missed something here, but I recently started seeing ads throughout this site. As a member, I should think I don't have to look at this stuff. But perhaps it's just me or my computer? Is everyone seeing these ads? Can I get rid of them?

Adblock works well if you are using the Chrome browser. Similar add-ins are available for other browsers.
The ads - I see them even as a Moderator here on the board. As Doug has mentioned in other posts, it would greatly help out the board to click on a few of these and help keep this place alive (its .30/click IIRC). Your help in NOT using Adblock is greatly appreciated.

hi all, let me explain.. The ads have been on here for a LONG time, a few years I think. During one of the last few updates I guess I updated the pieces of code required for the ads to run and as such they disappeared. I guess I didnt really realize it till one day recently, I thought about it.. where did they go!? So I put them back. It was an oversight on my part.
I know people feel entitled to not have ads because they've donated but ads generate repeatable income from visitors on the site, and the memberships hardly ever do (that is we dont get a lot of renewals). It is another way I can keep the site afloat without a lot of begging, and anyways, are they really that bad?!
It would help out a ton if people would start clicking on them (and opening in a new window so you dont actually even have to see the opened pages). I know it sounds ridiculous, but those clicks add up!
