09 White R1200R, bought in late Feb of 2010. 1723 miles so far. Am I the only one who has heard that if you rev the doo doo out of a new bike, it actually makes the bike run better with more power in the long run? In any case, I have not been abusive but I have never paid much attention to that whole keep the revs below blah blah and it has never seemed to create problems. Ist motorcycle 1967, a couple of different bikes in the 80's and more recently a couple of different BMW's.
I am not a mechanic or an engineer so I am just wondering how relevant that whole low rev's for break in really is.

Bought her last Nov (new) & done 13555kms / 8300mi.

love every inch of this bike .

1,915 miles. Purchased on Feb 18 with 23 miles.

Some where around 11000 km since end of August 2009. It should have been a lot more but I was not able to ride it for the first 10 weeks after I purchased the bike...

Talk to me again after a full season on it this year

Going to an advance rider training course a week from today at a local Race track...can't wait!

26,000km in 21 months on my '08. So, about 1,200km (750mi) per month.

Over that time i've averaged about 6.2L/100km (38mpg) and burned about 125-150ml of oil for every 1,000km.

Riding is a mix of daily commute through heavy traffic and big days on open mountainous highways.

14,000km, zero problems, burns zero oil or close to it, 5.3l/100km or 44.4 mpg. Daily commuter and my only mode of transportation since I sold my car last November (no point paying insurance every month on a car that sat in the driveway).

Bought my 2007 in the beginning of April with 1800 miles on it.
3000 miles on the odometer now = 1200 miles

6,354 miles since April 11, 2009, mostly on metropolitan roads, but occasionally on Appalachian twists.

15468 with the exception one afternoon, no rain riding.

Purchased mine brand new in February of last year. 15,700 miles so far. Unfortunately, the majority of those miles are just commuting to work.

17969 but unfortunately 6082 weren't mine.

2008 - 26,100 miles

34,000 and yes, the engine just keeps getting better: looser, silkier, and the smile gets bigger as I listen to her song.

Purchased new in late December 2009, and have since racked up 6200 miles.

I'd really love to push this bike to 100k.

I bought my 2008 R1200R two years ago and I now have approx. 9,000 awesome miles on it! Winters can be pretty harsh in the mountains or else there might be double that.

25,701 on mine. Brought it home December 2006.
I don’t commute on it . Mainly rallies in the warmer months and some cool months.
I ride in the rain if I am caught out in the rain.
