IMHO Skyline Drive is a deer-infested BRP imitation they charge to ride at 35 MPH. Skip it and get on the BRP at Front Royal.. you won't have missed a thing.
Agree with the sentiment, but I believe you meant to say Waynesboro.

Spent a few happy hours today on VA 42, 263, 613, &c, &c.

Leaving tomorrow AM for Meadows of Dan on the BRP. Five days of twisties riding with the locals in Western Virginia and W. Virginia. Last weekend was Niagria Falls and Laconia, being retired is a wonderful thing.

Picture of my riding buddy by the falls.

Back - five days on the back roads of southwest Virginia and W.Virginia. Got right into the action with the locals, either I'm getting better or my brain has degenerated to the point where I no longer have to ability to realize when I'm in a dangerous situation. At 67 I would vote for the later. Broke in the new tires but they still have about a 1/4 inch chicken stripe on both sides. Put on almost 2,000 but it was hot, the temps on the BRP were always 10/15 degree cooler than in the valleys.

Smurf at Foamhedge (yes Foam) one of the many free attractions off the PRB, and another indication that their are a lot of people with way too much time on their hands. Had to go up a washed out dirt/gravel road to get there, going up was a challenge coming down was terrifying. Really wish we could turn off the ABS.
