Re: new vibration after a dropped bike
Ended up buying a tap at home depot and was able to painstakingly insert and repair the threads. success! Thanks for the ideas. And BTW, I like the MRA various sport screen, but the only buffet free Nirvana is probably an RT.

I also use an MRA Vario screen. The build quality is excellent but it's biggest plus
is that it fits straight to existing BMW sport screen mountings!
I'd show you a pic but I don't savvy how to post pics here!

Do you have the vario sport or vario touring screen. I have the vario sport on brackets ordered from Wunderlicht. I am happy with it. Only problem is that I don't have much clearance between the leading edge of the screen and the headlight, and there is some rattling there at some RPMs. Also the screen rests/presses against the top of the instrument cluster and rattles a bit there as well. I had to stuff some styrofoam in between to take care of that. But overall happy, and the adjustable spoiler is quite effective.

You have the vibration only with load on the engine, maybe it is a leak in the air system "on one cylinder" that only leaks under load when the cylinders are really creating a high vacuum pressure in the head (more fuel goes in under load so bigger explosion and so bigger vacuum). That cause the right TB to go out of sync with the left and so you get vibration under load. You can check the TB sync under load by tapping an electronic TB sync module on the tank and then take it for a ride.sstein wrote: What's more, if I am coasting and pull in the clutch, and rev the engine as high as 5000 rpms, I don't feel this vibration.

Do both your mirror vibrate the same amount under load in all gears above 3 k rpm (check cars and road lines behind you CAREFULLY while driving). If one mirror is clear and the other is vibrating under load then your TBs are out of sync.
