There has been some off-line discussion on when to close the entries - and it was decided to make Dec. 22nd the deadline for entries. That will give Joe time to gather the winners together after someone picks them.. ALL the photos submitted will probably be used for a montage for the front cover of the calendar.
Keep'm coming, it's not going to be an easy job to pick 12..

The cropping is going to be a little different in the submissions (sent through the Google form), but here are my submits.
Southern Tennessee mountains on Lake Ocoee
Heading south on the Pacific Coast Highway
Crossing the highlands north of Mt. Shasta

Alright. I will submit a pic in colour and B&W
I saved files that are 2300x1530 at 200dpi, is that ok? The link to the cafepress template does not work.
If those who are doing the calendar need more copies or something does not work just shoot me a PM and I can get you a copy of the pic.

Here's the template:
http://www.cafepress.com/content/si/tem ... _print.zip
Minimum depth is 1,800 pixels, according to Cafepress. Please post the link to your high-res entry in the Google doc. Thanks.

Two weeks to deadline, and we've got 21 entries to date. There are some really great shots coming in.
A clarification: The photo link in the entry form should *not* be the same photo link you post in the r1150r forum. For this calendar, the forum photos are too small -- their size is capped at 1,024 pixels. The calendar photos must be cropped to at least 2,300 x 1,800 -- post the link to this size file in the form. You need two photo links: a forum link and a calendar link.
"Can't you just blow up the 1,024 to the size you need?" No, that would blur the image. You can downsize an image without degrading quality, but not up. As Joe said, the bigger the original image file, the better.
If none of this makes sense, Joe has set up a full-service link to process your original, full res photo -- the one right off the camera card:
http://www.smugmug.com/photos/guest/k2g6k3/Calendar. Simply drag and drop your image file (not your low-res forum version).
