I ended up cutting down a ball end hex wrench(out of a set from kragen), sticking the long end into the appropriate socket wrench then using a short extension and a flexible head ratchet to work on those windshield bolts. A little medium strength loctite on the threads keeps them in place, works like a charm.......tkm

Here are some tips for the touring screen bracket bolts.
First, make sure the bolts are long enough. I forget the length (40 mm?) but for some reason the bolts that I got with the touring screen were shorter than the ones that came with the fly screen. The fly screen ones were 5 mm longer, so I used those and they stay in much better.
Second, you absolutely must have a good ball end hex wrench. I attached a pair of Facom lock-grip pliers to the ball end wrench. The Facom pliers are much better than vice grips. You can get some good torque with this set up.

I used a 3/8 box end wrench to go around the lower end of the allen wrench as leverage and haven't had a problem. I could see where a shorter bolt could be an issue.rdsmith3 wrote:Here are some tips for the touring screen bracket bolts.

As mentioned, a little sealer or loc-tite would also help.
