I showed the photo to the wife and her words were pretty much the same as mine "b.....d".
Jealous as hell. I was in Oz a couple of years ago and can't wait to go back .
Sorry DJ, but I preferred the west coast.

I have often posted here and after thought "What was I thinking"..and this is one of those.
I was just at the beach..soaking up some sum and topping up the tan...and thought a summer pic might be fun to post for those with cold weather.
At first I thought a sneak pic of some bikini girls but then thought it would be an invasion of their privacy...and a bit rude.
I took a couple of pics of my bike and thought I would get in a couple while no one was looking..just give it a bit more summer look.
I had no intention of posing or showing off...but is seems a bit that way now...I know most of you guys know me by now and don't think anything of it.
I can only guess that "is that a rug" is about my hair...it was a strong hot north wind blowing...and I'm overdue for a haircut...that's all.
Here's another pic...I'll be 50 next birthday and the grey is coming through strong..oh well..

I hope to do a great ride soon..down to the 90 mile beach...so there are more summer pics on there way.
byw..It's about two hours away..it's the longest beach on the planet..I think it's still called the 90 mile beach..even though we changed to metric about 40 yrs ago.

You are not too far behind me in age and I would certainly settle for gray hair instead of skin tone! Plenty of gray in my beard though!

I went for a ride in Blacksburg this morning on my Dyna. Without hand guards, heated grips, or a windshield, I felt like a popsickle as it was about 15 deg. F in the mountains of Western VA as the sun was beginning to rise. Tonight after arriving in Northern VA, I went for a ride on the BMW. Ah, what a difference heated grips and hand guards make!
I'm riding to New Jersey tomorrow night and returning to VA Monday night. I suspect it will be my last long distance ride before April.

I met some of my local motorcycle crowd for our Sunday breakfast and put on my base layers to ride, then chickened out when the thermometer showed 20 degrees. (F) Felt so ashamed when half the people rode. I am usually one of the few that ride when it is cold!
I went straight home and geared up and went for a ride!

I'm frustrated !! It hit 50 degress here in Northern Colorado but after the last big snow, the street in front of my house, which is very, very lightly travelled, is still covered with a layer of compressed snow and ice. I spent Saturday trying to chisel out a path to clear asphalt, but gave up after a while. Next I may try to design some outriggers.

Yesterday was hot here...damn hot. It hit 43C. Lucky for me & DJ we were at work all day in 22C aircon. The smoke outside was like fog in some places, and the air smelt like a fireplace the morning after.
The sun is an odd orange colour most of the time, as it glows thru the smoke.
A change dropped the temp by 20 C in 5 minutes in the afternoon. No rain though.
We need rain, 'cause whilst it's hot it's also unbelievably dry. Records are being broken this summer.
Anyhow, it's so hot and dry here now that half the state is up in flames. Click on the link, click the disclaimer then progress to the bbq map of Oz.
DJ and I are down in the south west in Melbourne. The fires to our east are just where we had our ride 3 weekends back. No deaths yet thank goodness, but some very big fires.
