If you order it now be prepaired for a loooong wait. I ordered mine nine (9) weeks ago and am still waiting, althought thay have assured me it will be shipped this week (we'll see).
I did opt to have them paint it so I'm sure that added to the time involved.

First I go sit on a RR at the local dealer...very impressed...very comfortable, very nice. Disappointed in the cramped feel of the 800ST. Anyway, now I see this absolutely outstanding little fairing! Lovely combination....simply lovely.

I need more money! And more room! Dang!

It finally arrived. Took less than an hour to put on. The fit and finish and the hardware are exceptional. It's pricy, put in this case you get what you paid for. I have the 18" windshield. I'm not going to get into if it's quiet or not or where the buffering is because it's all been done before. Personally - I'm happy with it and that's all that counts to me.

If I wanted real quiet and no wind I'd be in a car.









PS: I was wondering how they got around the headlight being so far back into the forks, well the hardware moves the headlight forward about 3" which puts the fairing at a better angle to the bike.
If you want a specific picture of something, post and I'll try to get it posted.

Looks like something from the eighties, not the good eighties (Katana, GPz900R) but the BMW eighties. Ugly as hell in oppinion.

True but then again it fits the bike. When I made my list of bikes to buy the R1200R came out on the bottom of the pretty list every time, but usually on top of the functionality list. Seeing as I have a few 'pretty' bikes in the garage I went for for something that will work and had little concern for looks.
There is an old saying: 'You can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear' I think that saying would fit the R1200R.

To me 'pretty' would be the famous American brand (in Road King configuration) or just about anything made in Italy (new style street fighters excluded).

Parabellum Fairing works just find. Back from RA National, had 2000 road miles to check fairing out. Not an RT but close enough, no buffeting or rattles gave good protection but wasn't too hot to ride behind. Riding around 18 wheelers didn't seem to affect it, that was a major concern as I had other handlebar mounted fairings develop headshakes in the turbulence around the big rigs.

Great pics -- thanks for posting. Now I am really undecided between this and the ZTechnic windscreen.


On the looks:

Richard , Did you not also buy the 10" shield to go with this fairing? if so , when you have the time, could you put it on and post a picture or two? I believe that one is a little more than I want , at least in the summer.
