I am heading out to the Riders Of Knoxville (as seen in July MOA magazine ) pre rally rally tomorrow. I hope to see some of you at the big rally.
I thought the MOA's maps of good local rides left out most of the terrific near by roads. The author of the article must be selling gas in Virginia.

Mark,
An important question came up that maybe you can answer. Is there a place to buy liquor near the rally? Seems like you all have something called dry counties down there (that's really strange). I don't want to waste space carrying my own supply (but I will if necessary) and I don't drink shine.

We really should arrange a place for breakfast or something.

I believe you can buy liquor in Johnson City. I think you can in all of the larger cities. I had a taste of some very tasty lemon flavor "shine" at a recent rally. Seems like you would welcome some harmless "southern aminities".

Be heading out on Monday AM (PhoneDude or not.. inside joke w/Harry..)

Taking back roads down, about 280 miles a day or so. Should be fun. Doing the BRP from the top down to the NC border.. then cut over into TN.

Howze about SATURDAY AM - Breakfast someplace. There is always an announcement board someplace for messages like this - I'll make up a posting entitled: R1200R 12-step Group Meeting - and pick a spot on or near the rally site. Figure 9-9:30AM (I'm not a morning person) on Saturday.

Sound OK? Wed/Thursday not everyone will be there, I have something Friday AM.. so.. leaves Saturday.
