Interesting. I don't like it, though. Was hoping for a somewhat more muted blue. Colours like that belong on Suzuki GSX-R 1000 and other outrageously quick sportsbikes IMHO, not BMW nakeds. I really don't think the pinstripe suits it either

Saw a white '09 parked in front of Brown Motor Works in Pomona, CA today. No, I didn't have my camera. The white paint looks good by itself but doesn't seem to go well with the flat grey/silver finish on the wheels, swing arm, etc. The frame tubes were black, btw. I still prefer my black '07 with all the decals removed.

The black seat doesn't match... [-X this bike asks for a clear one. ;)

Nice blue! Very BMWish. The pinstripes give it even more class.

I like Blue although I have four Black bikes. The stripes just don't make it. First they are too wide and second they look like they were just stuck on because someone decided that the bike had to have stripes on it. I have a friend that will put the traditional thin Beemer stripes on my black R1200R but neither of us can see a good design on this (R1200R) tank. If anyone has a picture of a R1200R tank that has been striped please post it.

Opps: forgot IMHO

This bike was a dealer painted bike, not a BMW factory bike.

Hey troops,
I have the metailic grey - and I love it.
My dealer actually swapped the grey off a newish demo (it had 300km on it) with a new black bike on the floor so I didn't have to wait 3 months for my colour to come in. So the service books say its black - may be a problem at resale - but who cares - thats a long way off!! (Highly reccomend Worthington BMW - nth of Sydney - they have the right can do attitude that made buying the bike easy)
Very happy.
