Good Bye For Now

Post by Smoothrider »

After 3 years and 52,000 enjoyable miles I've sold my R1150R and the new owner will ride it away tomorrow. I have been a frequent visitor and occasional poster on this board and have gained much from my association with a great bunch of people.

What have I changed it for you ask :?: Well it may surprise you but its a 1987 R65. Just about half the power of the R but fun nevertheless. I am intending to do a running restoration on it whilst I decide if the R1200R is worth the asking price.

HELL NO, IT'S NOT!
Have fun on your new (old) ride. I'm sure there are others like me who would like to see some pics of your restoration job.

That is one sweet older Airhead!

And there is no reason you can't hang out here anyway! Heck, it's all good!

Geoff, while you're restoring that '87, pop on over to http://www.r65.org and look around.
Although many of us also have other bikes, it's all about the R65 there, and there are quite a few members from your side of the pond too.

Welcome, in advance!
