I installed my set today. They are fine-looking, no doubt.
I would like to pass on a few hints to others who will be doing a self-install:
1. Start (but don't tighten!) the 6mm machine screw at the top, first. Then, install the lower (10mm and 12mm) fasteners.
2. The hardware supplied is of a poor quality. I recommend either chasing the threads on the machine screws with a die-stock, or (as I did) replacing with better stuff. The plating on the supplied items makes the threads inaccurate, and can cause real damage to the tapped holes in the engine/transmission case.
3. The bars, on the other hand, are things of beauty. I also got them in black. They enhance, rather than detract from, the looks of the R1200R, in my own opinion.
I've got my eye on these as well. My dealer told me to get the hepco beckers instead - said the SW-Motechs have to be removed for valve adjustments. Anyone have an opinion on this? I haven't seen the hepcos on an RR yet, but I'd have a hard time believing they look better than the Motechs.

Well looking at ... (but not having done it yet) .... it does look that the valve covers will come off and on with the SW-Motech bars installed. Although taking the engine guards on and off is no real big deal (3 bolts a side ...easy to get to them!!!)
