introducing my bike

I decided I am not pulling my weight in the photography dept. As I am not making the "great trips" that I would like, I am working on taking some pictures of my daily rides. Boy, stopping every couple feet to take pictures sure slows my ride down. So anyway, I didn't even make it around my "standard" loop aroung the lake today. I'll make some "great rides" posts later.

For a trial though, here is my bike. Almost three years and these are the very first pictures I have ever taken of it.

driveway shot showing my new painted wind shield (just a few bugs) and all stripped down for local joy riding.

i didn't wash it for you guys, i wasn't gonna sacrifice "ride" time for that.
small cosmetic improvements include:

1. shortened rear fender
2. LT front mud guard
3. painted shield
4. decal removal
5. black spark plug covers

This is a dark ferro, minus most of the decals (the one on the beak is next for removal)

another shot with more green

some local color

and a taste and smell of the virtual rides to come

Very nice - I'm going to be doing the tail chop as well. That dark fero is one nice color scheme. Looks like you've got some nice areas to ride - hope you find time before winter . . ..

That is the closest I have seen to a completely blacked out Roadster, and I really like it. :smt023

I love it... :smt023 :smt023 ...great pictures btw.

I like it much better without the decals also.

It looks very stealthy...maybe it will not show up on the police radar.. :D

I still think the lines of the R1150R/Rx series are a lot nicer than its successor. I'm also quite happy with my Rockster's performance; I am sure I can get tickets and wipe out just as easily whether on it or the R1200R. Nice pics (and I have the same problem about not stopping to grab some shots).

I too took off the decals on my Black R1150R. The wax looked like crap around the edges. 8) Looks much cleaner. :D As does yours! :smt023

now there is something you don't see everyday! The words hooligan and BMW bike used together. OK, BMW was implied in this case, but all the same...

Thanks for the pics. That color scheme is my fave...next to black.

How long did you have to wait for that horse to piss?

I got a shot like that of Beemeridian at the Bash. :D

very nice

I just had the original tail put back on my bike. Wet weather riding shot water all over me and my seat with the shortened fender. I told the shop I wanted the short fender when I picked up the bike but they had thrown it away. :x
