:D HI guys just done a round trip to Scotland from west York's and back via windermere :) TOTAL MILES 1873

PENCE PER LTS AVE £0.97.9

TOTAL £151.12

TOTAL LTS 155.51

WORKS OUT AT 54.68MILES PER GAL :D OR £0.08 PENCE PER MILE

any speed from 5mph to 110mph on the M73 for 1.5 hrs

CAN YOU BEAT THAT ???? \:D/

sorry no conversion to $ or euros

MUST ADD THIS TRIP WAS WITH A FULL LOAD :roll: TENT/ COOKING GEAR/ SLEPING BAG AIR BED AND A WEEKS CLOTHES ECT
(PLUS TWO MUPPETS ON HARLEYS)

Wow, I'm jealous. We had intended to go camping in Scotland this year (but not on the bikes, my good lady wasn't sure if she could cope with camping AND biking in the face of adversity :) ), we ended up in the Lake District since she was worried about the midges up in Scotland...

You have visited both, which I would have loved to do, and even better done it on the bike. I really wanted to ride some of those stunning roads on the RR...!!

If you have any photos, please post them! I don't think I would ever get tired of the views from up there, and I'm sure many people here would be equally in awe at the beauty of it all.

PS: I hope the guys in the US realise that (by my sums anyway!) we are currently paying the equivalent of around $7.40 for a gallon (US) - maybe they'll start thinking they don't have it so bad over there, after all.. ;)
