Wow, I'm jealous. We had intended to go camping in Scotland this year (but not on the bikes, my good lady wasn't sure if she could cope with camping AND biking in the face of adversity ), we ended up in the Lake District since she was worried about the midges up in Scotland...

You have visited both, which I would have loved to do, and even better done it on the bike. I really wanted to ride some of those stunning roads on the RR...!!

If you have any photos, please post them! I don't think I would ever get tired of the views from up there, and I'm sure many people here would be equally in awe at the beauty of it all.

PS: I hope the guys in the US realise that (by my sums anyway!) we are currently paying the equivalent of around $7.40 for a gallon (US) - maybe they'll start thinking they don't have it so bad over there, after all..
