Daytona

I'm surprised that there is no mention of people going to Daytona on this list. I'm not taking the R1200 but my old /5 will be on Main street and at the track. I'm hoping the BMWs will do well in the 200, the podium would be too much to hope for, but a bike or two in the top 10 would be nice.

I'm goping down Friday. I hope to wangle a way into the BMW hospitality room Friday afternoon then I'll be at the track from around 9 am until after the 200. I'm on a black pinstripe RR with Georgia tags and an Iron Butt Association plateholder. Oh yeah, and a Ztechnik w.s

No mention of the Beemers coming in fifth and sixth in the 200. They sure had a distinctive sound making turn one into the infield. The bikes were a little down on power and were at a disadvantage on the long high speed straights but they make it up in the infield. I hope they race the whole series as they should do better on the shorter tracks.
Guess I'll look for a R1200S site.

Dude, you missed it... but I think now that BMW is officially into racing, we need a Racing / Trackday forum on this site... $\:D/$
