Has anyone got or had a a high mileage oilhead, say 100,000 miles plus, and do they red line it?
At what stage do you start treating the bike with 'kid gloves'?

IMO, the engine components are quite sturdy and I would not expect to diminished the use or pleasure from a high mileage oilhead....
Regarding the clutch and input shaft splines.....the clutch disc probably would have been changed by then and if there were a spline problem that would have surfaced by then too......

Some young fellers would say "Ride it like you stole it!"
'Course, I'm not a young fella so I wouldn't say that.

Everything is worn in a little better, less friction, spins easier... .
