Cold Missouri Ride

I don't know if I would qualify this as a "great" ride, so let's just call it a pretty good ride, and the first semi long one I've been able to go on since it warmed up a little here in Missouri. Nothing special, just a few pictures of me riding along some backroads near the Missouri River. Enjoy!

PS Gypsy, I know these pictures aren't up to your level, but I did the best with the crappy digital camera I have. Some of your pictures are amazing though!

I'm 25 years old, so if I ask a lot of stupid questions about repairs and/or maintenance, you'll have to forgive me as I'm still learning how to work on this bike.

Nice pics Columbia. I wish everyone would use that size picture. They load almost instantly and 640x480 is plenty big for viewing on the web.
That bike looks very familiar...

No need to apologize for those pictures. I just get lucky sometimes and only show the keeper pics. Your photos do everything you want them to do and they look just fine.
Your bike looks good. It's been a long time since I saw one without a screen/shield and tail rack on it. I forgot how good a stock RR looks! Very pretty bike. Thanks for sharing.

Very Nice, it has been awhile, but I have been through that area a few years ago (it was warmer) Thanks for bringing back the memories, Missouri has some great roads, (and great fishing) Bike looks good!!!! Den

Well geez....like I said I did my best! Tell ya' what FJ, you send me a nice donation and I'll go buy some good camera equipment instead of using my hand me down digital camera.
As for the windscreen, it's not so bad, I usually just use the bike for small backroads, or commuting to work. I will need to buy one before I make my trip to Colorado that I'm planning for this summer. Maybe you could send two donations???

That looks like my favorite riding weather; no glare from the sun, cool enough to be comfy in ATGATT and the road to yourself. Your pics are better than all the ones that don't get taken or get taken and but never posted in a ride report; well done.
When I was 25 I wanted a BMW but didn't think I could swing it (I've always been financially cautious); I'd be really surprised if you ever regret getting the R. The windscreen I have is a Fallert; not the greatest but way better than the naked XS650 (tuning fork)I started on or the XV750 (another tuning fork)I had prior to the R. It might be worth trying something used and inexpensive to start with.
