Haven't I been patient enough...

Post by Ves »

Seriously... hasn't this winter gone on long enough?... First non stop snow and cold and now it's cold and rain... When are going to get some decent riding weather? I'm loosing it here... I went on the web, found the words the the Air Supply song All Out of Love, found a midi version of the music and repeatedly sang the song... and I sing REALLY bad... but I do feel better now... :D Try it, it's therapeutic... Then I came up with this version... I call it...

All Out Of Miles

I'm sitin at home with my GPS and headphones
Thinking of curves till it hurts
I know you're waitin too but what else can we do
Rained out and torn apart
I wish I could carry your miles in my heart
For times when my life feels so low
It would make me believe what tomorrow could bring
When today just really blows, just really blows

Chorus:
I 'm all out of miles, I'm so lost without you
I know you're outside sitting for so long
I 'm all out of miles, what am I without you
This isn't great I say it's just so wrong

If spring would come back I'd get away from my home
Away from these long rainy nights
I'm reaching for you, are you feeling me too
Cause the feeling seems oh so right
And how would you sound if I started you now
And said that I can't hold on
There's no easy way, it gets harder each day
Please sun shine and I'll be gone, I'll be gone

Chorus

Oh, how do I settle down?
How do I settle down?
Oh, how do I settle down?
How do I settle down?

I guess I have no patience, either that or I just love summer too much. The winter of 1983 in the midwest was the last straw, I loaded my car with bare essentials and drove west. Now it's much better, but I still detest winter even in California.

Ahhhhh... California... I've only had the pleasure once... around the San Jose, Santa Cruz, San Francisco area... Beautiful....
How bad can winter be in CA?

Ves,

I did it today. My tires did not even need air. :p Nearly 5 month lay up this year. @#$@#

The ride sucked...unpleasant wind. 30 minutes...30 miles.

But for some reason...I have a smile on my face. :D

Get out there.
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...
