My front right turn signal blinks like crazy, but the right rear signal doesn't work at all. The bulb filament seems okay. Any thoughts as to what can be the fix?

Have you actually checked the bulb in the rear to make 100% sure it works? That is my suggestion. If it works then you've got a cut wire or loose connector somewhere on the back turn signal. If it worked before and just started doing this I'd put money on the bulb.

The reason this happens is because the turn signal relay has less load on it lighting only one bulb and will in turn blink faster. Kinda designed that way as a method of telling the operator that a bulb has burned out.

Thanks, Lobo. I'll test the bulb, then check the wiring. And thanks again for the load explanation. Makes sense!

Mine is the exact same way. The filament looks 100% fine, but the bulb is dead. Swap it with a known good one and see what works.

BTW, the 1057 looks to be hard to find. I haven't gotten a replacement, yet, but it appears the 1073 should be the closest widely available lamp. The 1057 is 21W and the 1073 is 23W, so the difference is pretty negligible. I think the 1156 lamp is 27W.

I would think if you had a short to the rear light that would cause the rapid cycling of the front lamp. :-k
