Just to throw this out, how many bikes came truly "naked"? What I have been seeing it looks like people have lots of goodies from the factory. The only options that came with mine were the centerstand, low seat, and heated grips. No ABS, no computer, etc... Not complaining, its what I wanted (like my bikes as simple as possible). I will say that I put bags on, cylinder guards, Cee Bailey 18 inch, bar backs, and my old Napolean handlebar end mirrors (took the mirrors and bar backs off my old K75S). It fits me perfectly and for me the seat is comfortable. So far it has been the best all around bike I have ever owned (hope I haven't cursed myself for saying that). Its good enough to have me thinking about selling a couple of my other bikes (they don't get used anymore). I've got a decent dealer and I work far enough away so I get a good ride in almost every day, so for now, all is good

I don't think too many came 'naked' - I do know the non-ABS ones were a hard sell for dealers who had them.. Max BMW had one for over a year..

Mine came pretty loaded:
Heated Seat, Center Stand, Heated Grips and ABS. I wanted the OBC, but bought mine as I wanted the bike sooner rather than wait for one with OBC. Now after reading about the issues with the Fuel Gauge etc. I'm quite happy about not getting the OBC as it would just drive me nuts if it weren't 100%.

Oliver - heated seat was a factory option? I can't recall that.. but if so, gotta find me that seat (I have a spare seat I'm planning on putting a heating pad in by winter..)

I got the last bike on the floor of a dealer about to go out of business. It just happened to have "the Package"--heated grips, center stand, ABS and OBC. I would have taken it any which way and still been happy as a pig because it is a a fabulous bike. I put on BMW cylinder guards, bags, rear rack, BMW "tall" windscreen, Moto Tech bar backs and RAM ounted Zumo.

I love the nakedness and don't understand why people want to add a fairing.

My bike came with ABS, computer, flyscreen, heated grips and bag mounts. I have added Motolights, Hyperlites a tailbag, rear hugger and Ohlins.

Knowing what I know now, I would have skipped the bag mounts as I am also really enjoying this bike as a roadster and have no desire to bag it. But the heated grips are really nice. It is surprising how much difference they can make.

Man, you got me there. I have no idea where that came from. That's a perfect example of multi-tasking gone wrong.
I'm so embarrsed by this episode that I'll go to the cafeteria and flog myself with a wet noodle.

Let's try it again:
My bike came with the STANDARD seat, center stand, heated grips and ABS. No pin stripes, OBC or chrome exhaust.
It also came with the following items I forgot: Sport Screen (Flyscreen) and Bag Mounts.

I have added: Zumo, BMW Led turn signals, BMW bags, luggage rack (requires new bag mounts), SW-Motech engine bars, Verholen bar backs, K1200R mirrors, Corbin seat (still non-heated ), Kisan Tailblazer (still have to look into the low output), Hyperlights.

Nope, not at all. It's a job that is quite doable by 1 person and I don't think it took all that long (it's been a while but it was less than 2 hours).

Stogiepuffer we need a picture of the bike with the bar end mirrors.

Thought mine was "kinda" nude, ABS, grips, computer, centerstand. I "think" is has a tall seat but not sure although I enjoy its height. Even has simple amber turn signal lenses. It was a "service loaner" from my kinda local dealer with 6900mi when I bought it. Only quick way (and slightly cheaper) to get a granite gray one. Always been a stock kinda guy so it works for me.

reference my last post. I might have chrome exhaust and it did come with a Ztechnik windshield. Opps!

Mine is with ABS (that is a must), ASR, computer (glad i have it although i was sceptical at the start), heated grips (also a good option and NO it is not only for whimps), the tire pressure thingy, center stand. Afterwards, i purchased the bmw system cases and the hardware for mounting them with also possibility for a topcase. Dont like topcases though, so for the moment i use the small BMW sportbag. Easy to remove and is not so bulky as a topcase.

I mounted a Z stream windshield (works great, but... to much turbulence around the helmet...) and my TomTom rider 2e edition

Next : better mirrors (maybe the mirrors from a K1200S, not sure yet). I am considering a rear hugger (ilmberger carbon)

The ilmberger carbon hugger is the way to go. With it your bike will look better than anyone else's bike who does not have it ( except for Ziobato and he reigns supreme )and it will keep your rear and that of your bike cleaner.

I am deleting as an option on my bike today my Garmin GPSMAP 276C. It has been nothing but a pain in the neck. I spend more time trying to get it to wok properly than I do gleaning information from it. Also it clutters up my "dashboard" area. I have made it these many years without one and I reckon I'll make it now without one.
