NEW Handguards Installation on R1200R

Post by Fisherman »

There have been lots of posts on this subject without too many speciifics. I hope this will help others with the same situation as mine; NEW GS handguards for the R1200R.

The short answer is they will work but not without a modification. At the end of the handguard where it bolts into the handlebar is where you need a modification. We used the large round washers and bolts out of a Throtlemeister kit. When you put this large washer on the end of the handguards using the Throtlemeister bolts it allows you to secure to the bars. It took maybe 10-15 minutes.

They look great and fit perfectly.

Try using photobucket. You save your pictures there and all you have to do is copy the IMG link, then paste it in the text of your post.
