prices are sure getting up but I guess that is the price and here in Australia where the market is quite small you wont get much competition. I have just put panniers on mine at $710 each!! .

This is probably a fair price given the plummeting Aussie dollar.

I ordered an R1200R with:
Panniers
Pannier mountings & rack
Top box
Lock barrels for panniers & t/box
Touring screen
Fitting kit for screen
Centre stand
ABS
Trip computer
Tyre pressure monitor
Cylinder head protectors
Traction control system
Aux. Power socket
Fitting of accessories
Lower seat
Heated grips

I ordered this in August for AU$26,000, including all on road costs and stamp duty.
Hopefully it should be putting smile on my face in the next week or two.
It was manufactured in week 39 (late September) and should have an 09 VIN.

Has anybody in Oz got their 09 yet?

That is a pretty good price considering the ESA is pretty expensive. You might as well get TPM as well.
