Hi All,
As the title states, I am looking to buy a Rockster. I have cash to buy the right bike immediately.
Not too worried about the colour, but want a bike in good condition.
If you folks know of one please let me know.
Also an idea of what I should be paying for a Rockster would help.
Cheers,
Andrew

RonnieRocksters old bike was in a shop near Farnborough before Christmas - it might still be there? It's in good nick and doesn't have that much milage on it. I was tempted myself, but I don't have the funds.
Look for "Haslemere motorcycles".

Have you looked at the BMW used/approved listings on their website?
Oh - don't know where you are in the UK, but if you're in/near London, get in touch with DUNCAN BELL at Vines of Guildford. If there's a bike in the country at another dealership and you tell him that you're looking for a particular model, he might be able to get it transferred to his place if you're a very likely buyer. Tell him James BB sent you.

But any decent dealer within the BM network should be able to do that if there's a Rockster in the system (they crop up occasionally on Part-exs).

Cheers ricey, took your advice and phoned, it was sold but buyer pulled out of sale so I am in the process of waiting for some photo's to be sent to me.
Any further info on the bike and owner?
As regards BMW dealers, spoke to one a week ago, sent me some photo's of an 03 bike with only 8k on the clock, the bike was hanging, really cant imagine seeing it on the showroom floor it was that bad, lots of corrosion.
Will keep you post.
Anybody else out there know of a good Rockster, I am looking for a good condition one.

Thats a shame, January is not a popular time to sell a bike but give it a month or two and I am sure there will be plenty to choose from.

Hi Matt,
Riceburner has put me in touch with a good one at Haslemere Motorcycles, pity i'm in Scotland but they have sent some good pictures, it used to belong to ronnierockster so i'm told.
I know what you say about more coming along. The good thing is I have cash so can deal at any time, just need to get the right bike at the right money without jumping at the first decent one that comes up.

It might be worth contacting 'ronnierockster' if he is on this forum to check it was his bike and he could describe its condition accuratley, Scotland to Haslemere is a long way but not too far if its the right bike at the right money. I was out for a ride today near Haslemere and could of looked at the bike for you. January can be a good month to get a deal on a bike if you can find the right bike, there will be more for sale in the coming months but probably for more money.

Cheers guys, I bid on the black/green Rockster on Ebay but got beaten at the last minute.
I was going to try and contact ronnierockster, wondered if he might see this post.
Hamlemere motorcycles said they would deliver it for £99, pity Matt that you did not pop in on the way past.

Hi There.
That was MY Rockster.
After bids from Holland, Germany & Hungary,
Questions from Sweden and only ONE inspection from a local chap,
My Rockster eventually sold to somebody from Bavaria.
Seems like a nice bloke, hopefully he'll collect in February as he's said.
I was suprised at the interest from Europe but then I thought about the exchange rate
and perhaps it makes sense.
I will miss the Rockster, It's been a real good 'un. I'm firmly converted to BMW and IF
my health improves and IF I just can't be bikeless, I would certainly have another BMW.
Thanks to all on here who've given me advice in the past.
The TB balance was especially helpful along with the valve clearence procedure.
I MAY be back,
Thanks Again.
Ian.

I have promised a friend I'd sell mine to him, but if he doesn't pull through on his tentative intention, it will go on the market this spring when there are more potential buyers looking to enjoy the weather on two wheels. But even if my friend flakes, you unfortunately are nearly halfway around the globe; I'm sure you are looking at something closer to home.

There's a 80th Rockster @ Maverick Motorcycles for £3649; quite low mileage too...
