Just Curious

For my job I sometimes have to carry a set of blueprints. My problem is when I cannot fit them in my saddlebags. I was just curious if anyone has ever bought or made a tube to carry prints and how you attached them. I was figuring I could make some sort of strap system attached to my saddlebags or luggage rack but wanted to see if anyone has done anything like this before. Thanks in advance.

I used a FedEx tube strapped across the back seat just the other day. Works great, it's free and it's re-usable. If I had to do this on a regular basis and needed something watertight I would use a PVC tube (3 inch or so) with a couple endcaps, only one glued on. The same setup works well for fishing rods.

I appreciate the info. I was thinking the pvc would probably be the best option. I would like to find a way to permanantly mount it without it looking completely ridiculous.
Thanks for the info

My daughter is an art student, and we got her a plastic tube with screw on ends to transport large artworks (on paper). The cool bit is, it already has a strap attached so you could sling it over your shoulder.
