New biarritz blue
Hi Folks,
I had ordered a new r12 from BMW of Denver with the usual goodies plus the ASC, but my order lanquished in the system, as no new production runs were being done anytime soon.
I did not want to wait any longer, so when they got a blue one in with everything I wanted except asc I snatched it up. Very glad I did-- love riding this bike
Only problem thus far is the 16'' Cee Bailey which for me is very noisy. The turbulence is not bad, just a little loud. Think I might try the 18 incher.
The biarritz blue is very sharp on this model--tried to send along some pics but ended up deleting my entire message.
I considered buying in San Antonio at Alamo BMW, as they had a white one with all the extras-ASC,ESA, and TPM. They were willing to deal and even offered to pay my airfare down there. So if anyone is looking for these options on their bike, they may still have it.
Take care everyone,
Mike

Well, if I'm not stepping on any toes, I just bought the same bike (brought it home 4 hours ago). Nice color I think!

Georgeous bike ,heaps of congrats, another positive force permeates the cosmos...although why not the faster bike as others have notice (black?
)
Your bad choice,no one else to blame.
Re: New biarritz blue
What a beauty! I wish they had that color when I bought mine. I had to choose between model T black and 2 flavors of bondo grey, ugh. Fortunately the bike is good enough to make up for the poor color choices.

Interesting - saw that color on an X3 today at the BMW cage dealer after I left the BMW bike dealer open house. I really liked it - my friend at the dealership hates it.
Different strokes.. different colors I guess.

Pretty bike. Are those chrome exhaust pipes or stainless?

They are chrome pipes. I believe it has every option except the ESA (bummer, wanted it but didn't want to wait for it. I guess I have the enjoyment of fine tuning the suspension to my tiny frame to look forward to instead). Not liking the seat much, I have to say. Skinny ass syndrome.
SW-Motech engine guards, factory bags and a factory 'touring' screen are en route. Oh, and a couple of catalogs. My wife will be thrilled to see those arrive on the doorstep!

I understand the 1200R never sold as much as the 1150R. Looking at what difference color alone can make I wouldn't be surprised that's a large part of the reason. Looks matter, don't they, and this blue looks plain sexy.
