Some Aeroflow questions

It seems like our friends at Aeroflow are about to get some new mounting hardware for the r1150r and I am tempted to pull the trigger. My 19.5 inch Cee Bailey is just too noisy. I really want maximum protection and as quiet a ride as possible. I don't much care if the wind screen spoils the naked look.
Other than the premium price, the barn-door size and maybe lack of air flow on hot days, are there any downsides to Aeroflow that you know of? I've done a lot of research on this board, but would like rider reports, if anyone is willing to share their experiences.
Paige Ortiz, the owner-designer, seems very committed to turning out a good product.
Also, since I'm not very handy with a wrench, are they difficult to mount - especially with bar backs?
I'd really like my bike to be a bit more like the RT in function, but without all the tupperware.

My experience with Aeroflow has been extremely positive and I would not hesitate to recommend them. See my previous post - and some replies from others - about them:

My understanding was that due to slack demand, they stopped making the bracket for the R1150R. If they are supplying them again, I'd say go for it. Installation is very easy and the directions are among the best written I've ever seen for a product. There will however be issues using the Aeroflow bracket with bar backs and I'd suggest call them to discuss.
As I mentioned in my PM on this subject, I'm using the Sport Half-fairing and am very happy with it. The Aeroflow system works well for a rider my size - 5'7" with a short inseam but longish torso - so I'd guess that riders up to maybe 5'10" would also be OK. Provides just about the right amount of protection to upper body and arms. I had to remove the screen recently to have the bracket recoated (see my posts as mentioned above) and the difference between riding naked and with the shield is startling.
I will send some pictures when I get some extra time.

You might also consider their tank wings. I read about them on this forum. I went to them and bought a set. They worked as advertised - the air blast coming up under the windshield and over the tank and hitting the rider in the torso gets diverted quite well.

I had an Aeroflow on my GS and loved it. Except for cleaning the bugs off the top of my helmet...
I'm personally not too crazy about the aesthetics of the unit they make for the R. But some people consider all windshields ugly.
Sidebar: I recently bought an MRA Vario Touring and am quite happy with it.

Don't know about installation with barbacks. Otherwise, it's straightforward. Use a ball-tipped allen wrench (I the forget size?).
+1 calling them, they are very helpful.
Ask about seconds or blems. I got something like 20% off; it took me 30 min to find the defect. Have added many more significant in the past 2 years.
Oh, and did I mention it looks great IMHO?
