I have a Sargent Seat, front and back. Absolutely love it. On the OEM thicker "comfort" seat I was in pain by the time I first stopped for gas (150 miles). The pain would set in more quickly with each successive stop such that 300 or 400 miles in one day was almost impossible for me (and I doubt I could of ridden a second day). With the Sargent, I just completed a 650 mile trip times 2 (650 miles each way seperated by a few days). The only reason to stop was for gas and stretch my legs. Amazing difference between the OEM and Sargent seats.

Only problem is when my wife is on the back of the bike she tends to slide forward on the Sargent (but not on the OEM). I am thinking about adding buttpads to stop that and for me for even more comfort on long rides (warmth in the winter).

Good idea? Anyone have a picture on the pads on their bikes--if so I would appreciate it if you could post it.

You can buy a gripy pillion seat cover like this that should fit and they don't cost much.

Thanks DJ, something like that would work, except I have a custom (Sargent) seat. Kind of a less expensive version of what I was thinking of.

That sticky stuff on the back of the passenger seat is the same stuff they make tool drawer liners out of. Just buy yourself a roll, a little creative cutting and a staple gun and you should be just fine.
