Tail of the Dragon

just read in the Asheville paper that there was a rock slide on the TN side of the Dragon, that it will be closed until July. So if you are planning on a visit to ride, check ahead on the update. Couldn't have come at a worse time. John

Last I heard it's still open to bikers, but no one else. So if you asked me, it couldn't have come at a better time. No 18 wheelers to worry about? Now is the time to go!

The Dragon is open but not to through traffic yet. You can go down and turn around at 11 miles. Cars and bikes are the only ones on there because there is no through traffic....and yes....it is the perfect time to go!

Yes, but Buckster, remember the local law is out there on blind turns.
