I posted a few weeks ago about replacement seats, lowering pegs and recieved some good advice.
If I am to ride this summer which at the moment I am unable to do, it's just too painful, I need the following.
To highten my position so it's the high/comfort seat at this stage.
To lower the pegs and to move them forward towards the front of the bike.
What are my options? and from a cost basis, what represents the best value? I live in the UK.

Re: Riding position
There's a thread on GS-pegs conversion. Lower, I think.

Re: Riding position
Contact a main dealer that has a big turnover of bikes. They may be willing to do a deal to swap your low? seat for a high one.
I suggest Rainbow of Rotherham as a helpful and friendly bunch.
Moving the pegs forward may put even more weight on your posterior- if that is where the pain is.

Here's all the info I've gathered on the GS footpeg swap I've done
http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=1303 ... 8bc8a90ddd
Kind of go by the upload dates to see what the latest info is.
It was a work in progress, first the "speculation", then the "doing", then results.
Not trouble free, but nothing that would make me hesitate to do it again.
Everything is described in the various uploads.
Feel free to ask any questions on things I haven't covered.
Good luck!
Oh, I do think a different style, aftermarket seat would get the most out of this swap.
I definitely intend to do just that after I make sure I have my next contract job in hand.
Something with more support under the edges. After quite a bit of reading various opinions
in this forum and other reviews, I've decided on the following - both for the review results
and the price.
