Edited (simplified) - let's see how many miles everyone is logging. Don, I know that you are just a bit over 35K now so you are off the hook ;)

09 R1200R purchased new Dec 19, 09 - finally got it on the road in April.
2107 as of this morning, but may almost double that this week with a trip down to NJ on business and then out to Ohio for a reunion and then back home. (Poor R1150GS with 70,333 hasn't seen the road since it dried up in March).

UPDATE 06/10/10:
4079 after trip to reunion in Ohio - bike now at dealers to get clutch fixed (760 miles on Sunday with barely functioning clutch) - turns out the line between master and slave cylinders needed to be re-routed. It came from the factory with the "new" slave cylinder that was supposed to fix the problem.

2100 km but in five weeks. Did my first 1000 km in 5 days.
Doesn't it make more sense to have the model year and the kms?
Stef.

Doesn't make much sense without the age. Mine is exactly three years and two weeks old and has soon-to-be 11,000 miles.

close to 7200 miles - 57 years old and the bike's is one year .. bought in May of '09
... BP ... is that Shell :)

Hey I did a search and found several posts about the "Service" indicator but I didn't see anything that pointed directly at oil. The owners manuel does not point directly to oil either. Does thr R measure the oil's viscosity? The dealer said it was a switch.

32 months, 29,000km (18,000mi) ... all country touring, and almost no days under 300km (200mi) .... 10-12,000km of open road riding a year is almost enough to keep me sane ...

No problems whatsoever, except with the fuel strip (on my second). All recalls and service bulletins done, of course. Still feels like a new bike to me.

It's getting extra lights (Wunderlich 'mircoflooter', with the GSA switchblock - thanks Don) and a Stebel nautilis horn for an early third birthday present, along with a (prophilaxis) new battery and a 30,000km service. The new clear handguards and lower protectors are working a treat in this Aussie winter ... but will now require new cylinder protectors.

2200 and change, but in my defense North Idaho doesn't lend itself to opportunities to ride. (nor does chemo). But if you add up all the time split between the Beemer, the Vstrom and the Ducati things are a bit rosier. Frankly, I'm trying to decide my favorite; roads in SoCal or the roads here in near Coeur D'Alene.

I don't know about gas, but you can have all the BP oil you want right now. :smt013

3200 miles since November.

Bought the bike in Feb 2009...its a 2008 and I am now 31k...
not sure if it is all in my mind but I kind of still feel some good evolution in the way the engines runs.

Compare to all the Japanese bikes I previously owned I wonder
if one day my R1200R will feel like a good old wine...
