I'm interested in knowing if the MRA VarioScreen will mount to my bike since I have the bar backs installed. I have the ones that are 1" up and 5/8" back. From what I see in the photos in the post below it looks like there's a little room at the back of the bracket to make it fit.
The other windshield I'm looking at is the C-Bailey but it looks like that will not be a problem as far as the bar backs go.

I will be finding out as soon as my Vario screen comes in. I have the same bar backs, twisted throttle told me it would fit! I'll let you know when I get it mounted...

I found out today my mounting kit for the Vario screen is on backorder. I called twisted throttle and they could not tell me if it would fit with B backs. I will find out in a week or so.

Thanks for your reply. I won't need to think about the fit now though. I ordered the set from wunderlich instead which mounts forward of the handle bars. It delivered yesterday and I installed it today. What I found after giving it a road test is, with it fully raised I'm feeling an air stream (with my hand place on my helmet) at about the top of my face shield. Modular helmet. I'm 5' 10" with a 30" inseam. Standard seat with an airhawk and sheepskin over that. I measured the shield fully extended. It is 18". It's a wonder they didn't make it a little taller since it can be lowered.
Rokinrider, let me know how yours fits your bike when you're done.

My Vario fit OK with my bar backs. It seems to jiggle around at low speed but the angle and wind deflection is good. I might have my buddy "Machinist" make a pair of longer stainless rods so I can play with angle and elevation. Currently the rods are all the way out in the handle bar clamps.
I have to take the girfriend to her class reunion tonight. Tomorrow I will blast off for Wisconsin to do some speed testing,Weee.
