R1100R Rear Seat Elimination?!

Hello - I own a 2000 R11R and I would like to cover or possibly eliminate the rear seat. Has anyone out there done this or do you know of a source for possibly getting what I might need to do this? Thanks very much and I will post some photos soon of my bike I have made some interesting mods to it (I think)...

Hi there,
once there was a time ... when 3 aftermarket companies provided a solution. a) was a japanese company called DOKEN, b) was a German company called Haensle and c) was a company called Roesner & Rose. See fotos here:

Doken has no stock and no longer manufactures their back. Same with Haensle. Roesner & Rose (
http://roesnerundrose.de/) have about 3 pieces left. Once these are sold no more will be available. Needless to say I got myself one of these (cost was 200 euros).
The other solution would be to (cheaply) buy yourself a rear seat and strip the cover and the foam from ground plate. Then make yourself a nice rear part using the ground plate and fiberglas (or carbonfiber) and resin. You could form yourself a model using thin wire and papier mâché.

I have considered fabricating one myself - the idea of one that is already manufactured would be great.
Do you have a photo of your bike?

The "baggage porter" for the R1100GS can be fitted in place of the rear seat. The plastic tool tray that goes with it will not fit due to differences in the rear fender, however the tool bag that comes with the Best Rest Products cover plate that I used does fit. I had to fabricate some spacers to raise it slightly due to some clearance issues with the taillight and bag mounts, you also cannot use the R1100R rear side panels.

Not with the new hump as it is still lying around waiting for a paintjob. Photos of the humps are now uploaded.
