I rarely go to the group rides section. I just saw this now. I will have to seriously consider it because I don't have any excuses not to go. Let's just say that I live close enough that I don't need a reservation. I am about an hour south of there, near where Rt. 206 meets Rt. 80.

Your right.
There are no excuses not to attend.
I can almost guarantee that there will never be a closer "Bash."
Just shoot up 206 and cross the Delaware; we'll be a lookin' for ya.
Staying the night has a lot of advantages, even if you just live an hour away.
- can tip back a few
- can BS w/ folks into the wee hours
- breakfast w/ the herd
- can 'get away' w/o being too far away
- no need to ride in the dark
Hey rdsmith3 - you really need to show up! It would be nice to meet a long time board member face to face after all these years!
And I understand the time demands on a family man but Daryl is right - you need to spend at least one night with the group. We usually have a good time! And since we split up into smaller groups for riding, the evening is the only time we are all together.
'02 in black - the real BMW color! (Now gone to a new home)

I am going to try very hard to participate in this.
Life is way too busy these days. Two of our four kids at home are in high school, and both are running track this Spring. Well, I've got a bunch of other excuses, too, but I really hope to make it.
I think I'm going to have to pass on this year again. My wife and I are celebrating our 20 year anniversary, which is the weekend of the bash! Everyone have a good time and hopefully I'll catch up with a bunch of you throughout the year.
Count me in for Hungry Mother though.

Sorry for late chime in: I will be present in some shape or form. Seeing as it is so close to me, I am fully waffling on hotel reservations, but Daryl makes many good points.
RDsmith3 will not pay for anything in my presence. That guy saved my bacon, hope he can make it.
Would love to see Cupohemlock, he's the very first 'Basher I ever met.
I could go on and on... miss seeing this whole crew. Only a few short months to go. See you soon.

That's very nice of you, but I'm a cheap date because I don't drink any more.
I am not sure I will be able to make it this year. May is going to be a very busy time at work this year, and I may not be able to get away. I will see how things work out.

There ain't no education in the second kick of a mule!
Like those before me I am going to make every effort to make it.
I am about an hour away and have some routes thru the Catskills.
There ares some covered bridges out that way and we all need good
backgrounds for the pictures we use to prove where we were.
Besides - I have never seen more than one R at a time (mine) all going
in the same direction, together.

I posted in the make-a-reservation section for this Bash (staying Thurs---Sun with STDoc-Jim) and repeating it here to be part of the rider head count. I am familiar with the riding in that area, much of it riding with STDocLizard since I lived 10 years in Easton PA.
It's 835 miles and a non-stop 15 hour slab drive away. Definitely truck'n it. I plan to visit relatives before or afterward in Hackettstown NJ, Manchester CT -and- return to GA with about 12 bags of coal, which I cannot buy anywhere within 250 miles of my house.
I'll be bringing a NoteBook PC & the GS-911 diagnostic unit to check/reset any 2 wheel BMW trouble codes. Here's hoping we have good weather.
