BMW R1200R R1150R/T F800 K1200R R1100R/T R1250R RnineT Message Board

Anyone got a foot long section of R10 - 5/16 id fuel injection hose setting around or know where to get some? I'm going to externalize the fuel filter on my '04 R1150R and only want to get inside the gas tank once.

Checked with the local BMW dealer (Gina's BMW) in Iowa City, they've got R9 and keep telling me it works fine and they've never had any trouble with it inside the gas tank. All posts here, ADV Rider, IBMWR, etc. clearly say use R10, so R9 will not be installed inside my gas tank.

I've checked all motorcycle dealers, auto dealers, auto parts stores, and local marinas in the area. Even talked to my old home town marina (Coulter's Panorama Marina, Panora IA) and no joy. If someone has a source or some on hand I'll pay for a foot of it along with shipping and your trouble.

Thanks for the info, I'll wait a bit and see if someone has some extra lying around. Price wise they don't give the R10 away do they? Ah... the price of quality, usually worth it in the long run...

I finally found a foot of the (SAE30R10) Golden Fleece locally via Napa, $26 a foot, ought to be good stuff.
Here is the Napa part number again NBH H209 and the Gates part number is 27093. Thanks all!
