Clock question

I searched the forums for "clock" and found an overwhelming number of entries of riders talking about "miles on the clock" but none that answer my question.
RealOEM.com shows two clocks for Rocksters.
Was the 24 hour clock an option in the US compared to standard equipment in other regions (Europe, Canada, Japan)...or is it an option everywhere?
I ask this because it seems as if all YouTube videos of Rocksters from Europe and Japan are showing 24 hour clocks.
Thanks, I am happy to be a member here, as well as a proud father of a 2005 Rockster owner, happy husband of a 2010 G650GS owner, and rider of my own 2005 K1200LT.

Not aware that 24 hour clock was an option, at least at time of US-spec Rockster purchase. Of course, the international clock was/is available an $200+ BMW part for those of us Americans comfortable with counting beyond 12.
The lack of 12/24 hour setting for the clock (at that component cost) is silly. If the extra function had been built into the clock chip, then the need for two different R1100S/Rockster clock parts would be unnecessary.
FWIW - My clock space will be occupied by something else soon. These days, we typically have Time of Day displays on wrist watch, cell phone, and especially GPS (whose function depends on atomic clock time signal accuracy), so the bike's clock is redundant.

So for the Europeans and Canadians: does anybody remember an option for a 24 hour clock?
Personally, I wish Americans were not so arrogant as to think that a 24 hour time format that is accepted by the rest of the world would not be good enough for us. Our military seems to like the format.
The same is true for the metric system...I'm just sayin'...
