New to me R1100R and First Question. Dashboard turn lights

HI all. Just purchased a 96 R1100R with 41K on it. It is my first BMW. My intent was to purchase a K75 but found this bike 9 years newer for the same money. Bike appears to be in great shape. I have ordered a Clymer manual and the parts to do a complete fluid change and will tackle that as soon as parts come in.

One issue. Neither of the dashboard turn lights work. I found the correct fuse (#3) and pulled and replaced it (looked fine) but still no lights. I will pull the bulbs and check them, but it seems a bit strange that both are bad. Is there a common fault to look for? The indicators front and rear work fine, so I don't think I have a flasher issue. Thanks for any input.

Noticed when I parked the bike this evening that the dash indicator came on when the handlebars were rotated full to the right. Trace down the wires and patch them, or a new tell tale?

Do a continuity check on the wires while turning the bars. I bet you have a broken wire. I'd patch it myself.

This seems to be the result of zip-ties being too tight. Common problem with almost all 1100 models. Check the wires at the front end of your bike behind the head-light.

Not on my R11R yet but wiring on wife's R12C failed in one spot when I added risers. Pretty fragile wiring for a high end machine I think. Traced, spliced, heat shrinked, no more problems to date. Tried to route and secure harnesses to avoid pinching and pulling on both bikes as I added risers to mine as well.
