I have replaced my cat with a y-pipe from
http://www.zach-auspuff.de and recorded the sounddifference between with the cat or with the y-pipe. The y-pipe comes also with a db-killer, but i have not mounted the db-killer in the y-pipe, because I have on mounted in my Laser can.

I really like the sound of the +cat better but the y-pipe looks sweet and makes the bike lighter. I'm currently trying to wrestle off my O2 sensor to swap the stock cat back into the bike. I have a poorly designed y-pipe and lost my exhaust. I'm holding out for a good deal on a replacement muffler. Good luck and ride safe!

Kobe22, Let me know if you need a stock can, mine's been sitting in the garage since I put my Remus set up on a few years ago.
Cheers,
dave

I have a question for you guys without the cat. Every vehicle I have ever removed the cat (car or bike), the exhaust ended up smelling pretty bad.

Is this the case with the R1150R as well?

I don't notice any odd scent from the cat-less exhaust on my bike. Smells normal to me.
