Hi All, has anyone rented an R12R in California to ride the Pacific Coast Highway? It's on my bucket list of rides but riding from Va. to California for a ride is not in the cards. Another crazy idea, has anyone shipped their bike to and from California?
thanks

Widetrack: Check out http://www.calif-motorcyclerental.com/ in San Diego; they rent R1200R bikes on a daily or weekly basis.

If you're interested in starting out of SF, Dubbelju has an R1200R. Good folks.

I'll second the Dubbelju recommendation. I rented one from them two years ago to ride the PCH (and over to Yosemite).SF_Hooligan wrote:If you're interested in starting out of SF, Dubbelju has an R1200R. Good folks.

I'm renting one of their R1200Rs (they have two) in a couple of weeks to ride the northern portion and head up to Crater Lake.
Dubbelju was great to work with and has great rates.
Dubbelju will also handle receipt of shipments and storage for you. Next year I've got plans to ship my R1200R to them, fly out there and ride it back.
