I'm going on a business trip for about 1 month, just curious if anyone has any advise on keeping the bike in the best shape for that? I'm mainly concerned with keeping the fuel good... I can get some stabilizer I suppose but what's the best way to store it? full or as empty as possible?
Anything special for the electrical?

Re: 1 month storage advise.
I have stored my bike for months at a time while away working without doing much, just a full tank and now I use Star Tron fuel additive to help with potential ethanol issues and to stabilize the fuel.
A battery tender isn't a bad idea if you have easy access to power where your bike is being stored, but for just a month not absolutely necessary IMHO.

Don't let any mice move in and chew up your wires. Usually not a concern in the warmer months, but I have seen this.

Re: 1 month storage advise.
My old K75 often sits 4 to 6 weeks between rides with no problem. Make sure the battery is charged and fill the tank with quality gas. I hear stories about gas going bad in a month, but I fill the K75 once every 2-3 months with Chevron or Shell and have no problems. No stabilizer added. You never know what is in no-name gas. Parking with a full tank will help prevent moisture condensation inside. That is why airplanes are always topped off after a flight.

Keep the tank full and less air will interact with the gas.
Here in California, home of the E-10 and E-15 and every other whiz bang eco malfunction, additive and "solution", I normally fill the tank on my boat for winter storage, no additives, nothing at all. Every spring she's ready to go.
I recently had to park the boat for 5 years due to salmon fishing closures and just to be safe I pumped it all out and refilled. That was expensive! 50 gallons @ $4.52 ea.
I used that pumped out gas in my family cars and it burned just fine, no problems whatsoever. Wife, daughter, daughter's boyfriend, my two vehicles, we all used it no problem.
One month idle isn't going to harm anything and the gas will be more then fine.
Worry more about the battery, and even then...
