Does My Bike Have a Lowered Chassis?

Post by pizzmor »

All,

I recently purchased an 08 R1200R that had a low seat. The dealer replace the low seat with a stock standard height seat. I was assured the chassis was not lowered, but the more I ride it the more me thinks the chassis might be factory lowered. I have a 32" inseam and can easily put both feet flat on the deck.

Anyway to visually inspect the bike to get some indication of a lowered chassis?

Thanks in advance.

With a 32" inseam I'd say flatfooting easily is to be expected on a standard seat. I have a 34" inseam and flatfoot with a high comfort seat with an airhawk on top on a standard height chassis

For ref, I have a 30" inseam with a low comfort seat (std suspension) and can only flat foot in boots with a 1" heel.
