Tick over, R.P.M.

Wot iz yer tick over ( idle speed) set at ? On it's return from it's 6000 ml service mines is sitting at 1200 R.P.M., where previously it was set at 1000 R.P.M. This is when the engine is up to working temp. It seemed more relaxed at 1000 R.P.M. & didn't stall. Does anybody know the correct setting?
