I-Abs Parts ??

Post by stuey37 »

Does anyone know where I can source a replacement part for my 2001 r1150rt I-abs Module .Long story short ABS failure traced down to faulty servo motor all stripped down ready for replacement motor if I can get one from anywhere. Would appreciate any input thanks .

This is the place I'm going to try if mine doesn't respond to flush and bleed. (I have ABS lights)

They are rumored to be able to rebuild BMW motorcycle ABS modules
.
I don't get caught in the rain, I ride in it on purpose.

I Have e-mailed Module masters and awaiting reply as to whether they can supply me with a motor from their donor units as I don't require a rebuild from them. just for your info we diagnosed a faulty motor by removing the cover on the face of the module with an tri-wing driver and inside are 2 small holes opposite 2 pressure sensors when the unit energises it puts fluid trough these holes onto the pressure sensors as part of the self test and only one was firing fluid onto the sensor . I believe this to be correct and it coresponded when we stripped the unit down and tested the motor .

Ok Update was unable to source the parts to repair my I-abs unit so had to source a different unit from a 2002 1150rt I have now done a successful DIY I-Abs transplant and so far so good self test passed all lights out ready for final rebuilt and drive off test fingers crossed. Was a long and winding road with many a lesson learned along the way and probably more to come !
