Guys in fla at hotel the shrub sprinkler put water spots on my bike..not being to anal here but will these easily come off with a good wash of the bike..seems fla water has heavy calcium deposits and I won't be able to clean the bike Til I get home Saturday ..am I setting myself up for some body damage leaving them until then or should they come off with a good ole fashion bike wash..I'm being a little high maintenance here but the spots definitely negatively affect the look of my girl..thoughts?

You could ask the owner of the sprinkler to wash the bike, or at least provide you with water and carwash/bikewash-shampoo.

No harm done. Happens all the time here. Once those drops are dry, it doesn't matter how long they stay on till you get them off... A few drops of car soap in purified water (i.e. distilled or deionized) on a soft cloth followed by a terry cloth towel to dry with will remove them. Wax helps.

BTW, it's not just the hardness (e.g. calcium); a lot of our irrigation water is either from a well or reclaimed so it has salt in it too.

I use that canned foamy window cleaner. It foams up nicely and wipes away clean.

Not at all.
Like anything, you take care of it so it takes care of you.

Could be worse. After a pleasant commute and lunchtime ride with a colleague it started to throw it down with rain. Unfortunately my homeward commute met a junction that a large herd of cows crosses every day, to and from the milking parlour. Bike is gently humming in the garage. Must get it clean when this rain stops. A nice ride otherwise and it only took 24 hours for my leathers to dry.
