The Beemer Boneyard

Post by maccraith »

Not quite sure where this belongs if not here. Regardless of where it ends up, Jim at Beemer Boneyard deserves some recognition and we all deserve to know about him. For the second time, Jim found a way to discount the price of my order and he just did it. In addition to all the other qualities of good business he exemplifies - his personal service, his fast delivery, his very good pricing - in addition to all that, this rather incredible behavior of a retailer of finding and giving a discount without even being asked - this sets him apart and above every other BMW outlet of any kind that I have ever dealt with. If you haven't already, give him a try. You won't regret it.

I asked for a quote for parts, & he got back to me, including postage from the US to the UK.
I duly ordered the parts.
He then got back to me to say the postage was less than he'd thought, & he'd refunded some of it directly onto my credit card.
He didn't have to do that, & I would never have noticed.
What an honest man. :smt023

A little experience with them over the last 2 weeks....

Received a glorious email from them stating that they had come across a used bug screen for the r. This made me very happy, and I ordered it immediately and paid for 3 day shipping.

Alas, they reused a box that ended up coming up as a red flag for hazmat with UPS :(

3 days turned into a whole bunch longer as UPS immediately downgrades to ground after the box is cleared. With Xmass thrown into the mix, I did not receive it until last monday.

I called up the boneyard that day to alert them to what was going on, and they promptly got on the horn with UPS.

As a result they shipped me a set of feeler gauges to do my valve adjust for free, and they showed up on wednesday.

They rocked my world. =D>
